Last week, our Little Zoom had his 9 month birthday!

And his sweet face says it all. Over and over I hear “what a happy baby!” when people meet this little guy. I smile and nod and say “yes, yes he is.” He’s quickly living up to his blogland nickname as he zooms around the house on all fours searching for long lost toys or cheerios. This kid, I tell ya, he gets me.

At 21 pounds and 27 inches, he’s somewhere in the middle percentages for both height and weight. Though I still hear regularly that he looks very big for his age I’m happy his growth has stabilized since his 9 pound 12 ounce birth weight. I was a little concerned we were going to have a sumo wrestler on our hands during those first weeks. We’re still working on his reflux and torticollis, but I think we’re turing a corner. His head tilt has gone from 10 degrees to 4 degrees and according to his physical therapist, we’re just working on fine tuning his movements and balance now. He’s been such a trooper!

I can’t say enough about how different life with a baby has been the second time around. It’s been calmer but crazier, easier but harder, and just downright much more enjoyable. I kind of think I’m a seasoned pro at this point. Mother extraordinaire, perhaps. And after doting on two sets of sweet twins Saturday night, and looking at pictures of my new nephew who was born today, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t just a little smitten with idea of having a newborn again. Who knows, maybe we will outfit that soccer team Mr. Zoom is desperate for!

Ha ha, Mr. Zoom….gotcha! Don’t EVEN think about it!
Wow! Love that little guy! xxoo
